The math is the same formula, just locked to one direction:

Q = C × V

Charge in coulombs equals capacitance in farads times voltage in volts — the entire calculation, no rearrangement involved. A 100 µF capacitor charged to 12V is holding 1.2 millicoulombs, a number nobody would want to write out in full coulombs (0.0012 C) or track through by hand every time a spec sheet needs checking.
