Enter the slab's length and width, then the mesh sheet's own dimensions — 5 ft x 10 ft is a common retail size, but change it to match what's actually sold locally. Overlap percentage pads the area before the sheet count is calculated.
adjusted area = slab length × slab width × (1 + overlap %)
sheets needed = ⌈adjusted area ÷ (sheet length × sheet width)⌉
Overlap exists because adjoining mesh sheets need to be tied together, not butted edge to edge — standard practice laps them by roughly one mesh square so the reinforcement stays continuous across the seam. A 10% overlap allowance is a reasonable default for typical 6x6 in. mesh spacing; tighten or loosen it if your sheets use a different grid.
