Choose a category and enter a value to convert between common units.
How to Use the Conversion Calculator
Pick a category first — length, weight, temperature, and so on each live in their own unit group — then choose the two units to convert between and enter a value.
Length, weight, volume, and temperature each need their own logic here — the first three are simple multiplication against a base unit, temperature isn't (there's no such thing as "zero times a conversion factor" giving you the right answer when 0°C and 0°F are nowhere near each other).
Length/weight/volume: target = value × (from-unit factor ÷ to-unit factor)
Celsius → Fahrenheit: F = C × 9/5 + 32
Celsius → Kelvin: K = C + 273.15
This Conversion Calculator covers the units people actually look up day to day — meters to feet, kilograms to pounds, liters to gallons, Celsius to Fahrenheit — using NIST-published conversion factors throughout. For anything more specialized (currency, data storage, energy), check the dedicated calculator for that category instead.
