How to Use the Cotangent Calculator
In Angle → cot mode, enter an angle to find its cotangent. In cot → Angle mode, enter a cotangent value instead to find the angle.
cot(θ) = 1 ÷ tan(θ) = cos(θ) ÷ sin(θ)Cotangent flips tangent's ratio of opposite-over-adjacent into adjacent-over-opposite, which is also why it's undefined exactly where tangent is zero (0°, 180°...) and passes smoothly through zero exactly where tangent shoots off to infinity (90°, 270°). The two functions trade blind spots with each other.
