Enter each grading category's score and weight to calculate your overall grade.
How to Use the Grade Calculator
Add a row per grading category with its score and weight — quizzes, homework, exams, whatever the syllabus breaks it into — and the weighted overall grade updates as rows are added.
overall grade = Σ(category score × category weight) ÷ Σ(category weight)
Homework, quizzes, and exams rarely count equally toward a final grade, so this Grade Calculator weights each category before combining them — the weights don't need to add up to exactly 100 first, since dividing by their total normalizes everything automatically regardless of the scale you entered them on.
The letter-grade conversion at the end uses the common 90/80/70/60 percentage bands, which is a widely used default but far from universal — plenty of instructors and institutions set their own cutoffs, so treat it as a reasonable guess rather than an official readout.
