Enter a list of numbers to calculate mean, median, mode, range, and standard deviation.
How to Use the Statistics Calculator
One list of numbers produces five figures at once — mean, median, mode, range, and standard deviation — instead of needing five separate calculators.
Mean, median, and mode all claim to describe a data set's "center," and they routinely disagree. This Statistics Calculator reports all three at once, plus range and standard deviation — the full summary in one pass.
Mean: sum of values ÷ count
Median: the middle value when sorted (average of the two middles if count is even)
Mode: the value(s) that appear most often
Range: maximum − minimum
The mean gets pulled toward outliers; the median doesn't, which is why the two split apart on skewed data (income, home prices, anything with a long tail). Mode is different again — if every value in a set appears exactly once, there's no meaningful mode at all, and if two or more values tie for most frequent, the set is multimodal and this tool lists all of them, not just one.
