Enter a regular hourly rate and multiplier to calculate the time-and-a-half rate, and optionally a number of overtime hours to calculate the pay for them.
How to Use the Time-and-a-Half Calculator
This is a smaller, rate-focused tool — not a full paycheck calculator like the Overtime Calculator elsewhere on this site. It's just Regular Hourly Rate and a Multiplier, plus an optional Overtime Hours field if you want a dollar total instead of just the rate.
Time-and-a-Half Rate = Regular Rate × Multiplier
Pay for Overtime Hours = Time-and-a-Half Rate × Overtime Hours
"Time and a half" specifically means a 1.5× multiplier, which is the default here — but the field is editable for double-time (2.0) or any other rate an employer or contract specifies, so despite the name this tool works for any flat overtime multiplier.
Leave Overtime Hours at zero and you still get the per-hour rate on its own — useful when the question is simply what your overtime rate comes out to, not what your next paycheck will look like.
